Walkable skylights for kindergarten new building
During the construction of the new Kočevje kindergarten in Slovenia, four GLASSFLOOR® Circle walk-on skylights were installed on the terrace and in the playground area. This allows natural daylight to flood the interior spaces below, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
The round skylights are designed to be walkable slip-resistant, ensuring that children can use the playground safely. At the same time, the circular glass panels add distinctive architectural accents and create interesting visual connections between the outdoor and indoor spaces.
The project demonstrates how GLASSFLOOR® combines natural light, safe use of space, and playful architecture—particularly in educational buildings, where spatial quality, safety, and the user experience are equally important.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the architectural firm Svet Vmes, which has already designed and implemented numerous innovative school and educational projects in Slovenia.
