Skylights for break area - Schule Töss Richterswil

Top: Walk-on and drive-over floor glazing in the schoolyard. Bottom: Natural daylight creates a bright and pleasant atmosphere in hallways and classrooms.

A total of seven GLASSFLOOR® Pure skylights were installed in the two playgrounds at the Töss school complex. These walk-on glass surfaces bring natural light into the areas below while allowing the playgrounds to be used to their full potential.

Despite their large glass surfaces, the skylights meet high structural requirements: a point load of 2 tons per 20 × 20 cm and a surface load of 1 ton per square meter. As a result, the GLASSFLOOR® elements in this project are particularly robust and, depending on the intended use, can even be driven over.

GLASSFLOOR® combines safe walkability, high load-bearing capacity, natural daylight, and a clean architectural design into a functional solution for school buildings.
