The project of the Ried primary school shows how dense building without loss of daylight is possible thanks to GLASSFLOOR is possible.
In the new construction of the Ried primary school in the municipality of Köniz in the canton of Berne, the roof of the sports hall and the playground were equipped with 24 GLASSFLOOR skylights. The aesthetic skylights blend harmoniously into the break area and at the same time provide the sports hall below with daylight.
Daylight calculations for an optimal result
The work for the project on the part of GLASSFLOOR included daylight calculations, dimensioning and placement of the skylights and their number for optimal lighting of the sports hall.
